Children ages 3-5 year old are referred as preschoolers. Considerable growth development occurs in children during the preschool years. Children in the age range are still working on their social skills.  They are also very physical. Preschoolers are very active. Their bodies are constantly in movement- jumping, running, dancing. This is the age where much learning is transmitted through the large muscles.

By the time a child is three years of age she has more control over aspect of her body. She knows what she likes and dislikes. By now she knows gender differences.
