When an early childhood program is accredited means it has to maintain high quality of standards to care for the children they serve. In United States, home-based or family child care programs are accredited by National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) and center-based programs are accredited by National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Look for these marks of quality while you are looking around for a child care program for your child.
